Episode 44
The Real Haunting Behind The Conjuring

The documented facts
- In January 1971, Roger and Carolyn Perron moved with their five daughters into the Arnold Estate, a 1736 colonial farmhouse in Harrisville, Rhode Island.
- The family reported escalating phenomena through the 1970s: unexplained noises, objects moving on their own, beds shaking with children in them, and a gray female figure standing over Carolyn as she slept.
- Lorraine Warren declared Bathsheba Sherman, a real local woman from the 1800s, to be the source of the haunting. She was never tried or convicted of killing anyone.
- During a mid-1970s seance, Carolyn reportedly became possessed and levitated in her chair. Roger threw the Warrens out, and the family stayed in the house until 1980.
The Draugr does not invent. He documents.

A witch died more than a century ago. She tried to push my family from our farmhouse.
January, nineteen seventy one. We moved into the Arnold estate in Harrisville, Rhode Island. A farmhouse raised in seventeen thirty six, eight generations of death inside its walls.
Then the smell came. Rotting flesh, with no source. Beds rose off the floor with children still in them. A gray woman stood over me each night, watching.
Ed and Lorraine Warren came in nineteen seventy four. At the seance, I lifted out of my chair and spoke in a voice that was not mine. My husband threw them out.
Bathsheba hated me most. She wanted her house back.
Nine years we stayed. Stitch this video if you would have lasted one night. Follow for a new true nightmare every day. Sleep with the lights on, if you can.
Dramatized for the telling. The facts above are documented; the narration is the Draugr’s retelling of them.
